Transforming Art Careers:
A Workshop Series with Lily Hope & Ursala Hudson

Building sustainable art practices for growth, strength, and community

Taught by internationally recognized sisters and full-time Northwest Coast artists Lily Hope and Ursala Hudson, this workshop series offers transformative tools for artists at every stage of their career. Raised within Indigenous Southeast Alaskan art and culture and working across global platforms, Lily and Ursala bring unique yet complementary perspectives: Lily as a culture bearer, educator, and community-art project facilitator with a background in storytelling; Ursala as a scholar, innovator, and community activist with a background in marketing.

Together, they invite artists into a space that blends reflection with hands-on skills. Over the course of the week, participants will explore frameworks for building sustainable art practices, curating cohesive bodies of work, strengthening professional visibility, improving public speaking, and sustaining spiritual and physical health. Designed to uplift both Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists, this series challenges conventional approaches to art-making and career-building, offering pathways toward true prosperity, resilience, and community strength.
